Inky magenta and chartreuse tinted porcelain, 48 x 33cm (19 x 13”) x 5mm thin

This piece is a porcelain clay “painting” , made of thin rolled and layered matte finished porcelain.

These porcelain fired clay works are created using a variation of the clay technique known as Nerikomi. I tint porcelain clay with pigments and manipulate the medium into ombré effects with deliberate graphic strokes and blends as though painting on canvas.

These pieces are meditative and moody, inspired by natural ombré patterns of the skies and evoking striations and textures of the earth

The high fired porcelain material is ideal for a spa, bath or humid environment.

A unique circular french style bracket allows the piece to hang with the ability to rotate easily to 365 degrees of positioning.
